Adding a pistol grip to my Winchester Defender

Is it legal in Calif to remove the stock and replace it with a pistol grip?

Only restrictions on non-semi-auto shotguns is:
minimum barrel length 18"
minimum overall length 26"

It wouldn't... unless it was too short overall due to installing a PG.

I have a pistol grip/folding stock combo on mine. Very fun to shoot and works very well.

It makes the gun nice and short for defensive use inside the house. Of course you have to learn how to aim with a PGO shotgun which isn't that hard, but lots of people don't know how to do it.
