    Saiga 12 ??

Hey yall, what and where do some of you shoot your Saiga 12s?
I was thinking about getting one, but wondering what some of you do with yours. I have a 870 28 inch for clays and a Mossy 500 for HD.
    Thanks

I shoot all kinds of things with it. Pretty much anything and everything. Clays/bowling pins/pumpkins you name it. I've only shot it at the desert, never at a range. Very reliable, only had 2 or 3 FTE's. I will say the sporting stock is too long for my liking and I would recommend getting it converted to standard pistol grip config.

I bought mine converted by red jacket from atlantic arms, and although Im pretty new to shooting and my collection of firearms is still pretty small, it is by far my most fun gun. Its also quite accurate with slugs. I get 2-3 in groupings at 25 yards, which is the length of the range i go to. Its probably more accurate than that but I'm not a great shot to begin with. If you get one, break it in with about a hundred rounds of 00 buck and it will cycle the lighter stuff much easier after that. I have almost 400 rounds through mine with no issues now, but at first it would FTE the birdshot. The forums on this site http://www.saiga-12.com/ are really helpful.

Gas setting can be changed for light and heavy loads.

gas setting 1 should be used first, and if the gun wont cycle, use gas setting two. you should ALWAYS use setting one for max dram 2 3/4 and 3" shells, such as slugs, buckshot, and heavy hitting hunting loads.

also, if you are new to shotgunning, use caution with your backstops with slugs and large caliber buckshot, as they go through quite a lot of material, or can travel a VERY long ways......
