    Remington 870 question

Hi all, new to this part of the forum. I was looking into a Remington 870 Pump Action 20 gauge with the Knoxx Stock. Is that a legal configuration here in the great state of CA?

The best one on the market is the AI&P Tactical 20 ga. It is parkerized like the 870 Police and has the internal parts upgraded to the the police parts. This is as close to a 20ga 870 police as you can get.

You can see it at www.aiptactical.com in the weapons drop box. And yes, it has the recoil Reducing knoxx SpecOps.

You asked why have the Knoxx on a 20ga. The same reasons you would have it on a 12ga. You may want the benifits of the stock. It adjust so that a man 6' tall can shot it or someone 5'2".

It soaks up the recoil, but the best benifit is that when used correctly it almost emlininates muzzel flip and that gets you back on target faster. That is important in a gun fight.

You sure you don't want a 12? It would be better to get a 12 gauge with the knoxx stock.

Oh no question the benefits of the Knoxx stock is incredible I'm just wondering why he chose 20ga instead of 12ga.

Yes the configuration is legal. If you want a 20ga buy it, you can't go wrong with an 870.

if you have to ask why a knoxx stock on a 20 gauge, you have really not shot very many guns. guage of a shotgun does not directly have anything to do with recoil! Its the combo of load and how much powder is in the shell which dictates recoil.
