930 SPX range report **UPDATE**

I took out my 930 today and ran 230 rounds through it. WOW!!! I only had one FTE and that was the 3rd round (PMC slug). It cycled the rest, 00 buck (Std. and low recoil, Win.) #4 Buck, 1 oz. slugs (PMC, Win. Fiocci) and #7 and 8 bird shot (Win. and Fed.) no problems. It patterned poorly with the Win Low-Recoil 00 Buck, but everything else was as expected. It is a pretty soft shooter as well, my shoulder is no worse for the wear.

I went back to American Shooting Center and put another 150 rounds through it. 75 rounds of #7 birdshot (Fed Wally World specials) 50 rounds of winchester 00 buck, low recoil, and an assortment of 3 inch mag slugs and 00 buck. This thing is amazing! No malfunctions at all, and it seemed to pattern a bit better with the low recoil 00 buck. Still no pain at the shoulder! Awesome gun!

Thats cool it cycles low recoil, my Saiga12 wont cycle that yet. Maybe needs more break in. Great range report. You forgot pics

That low-base/low-recoil bulk pack Winchester 00B uses a pretty shoddy wad, I wouldn't blame the pattern on the shotgun.

Nobel Sport LE 00 Buck & Centurion Multi-Defense pattern very well through my 930SPX ... you might want to give 'em a try.

To avoid the finger pinching, I read somewhere to load the shell 3/4 of the way and then use the next shell to finish pushing it in. It also works on lever action rifles too. I do not have a shotgun so I cannot say if it will work for sure, but worth a try!

Slim, I had an 11-87 and loved it! Stone reliable, I still kick myself for selling it.
