    mossberg maverick

I finally got a friend of mine to get off the fence and he bought his first shotgun, due to cost 199.00 at turners but now he is asking if all of the goodies that fit the mossberg will fit the maverick and I am pretty sure they will but don't want to give bad info , he is looking at side saddle and he wants a pistol grip, I have already explained to him pistol grip won't feel to good but it is something he need to experiance for himself. any info would be great thanks

There's not really a point in putting accessories on a Maverick. for $100 more he could have got a full-on Mossy, and he'll spend around that much on those accessories.

Or for $60 more, the Big-5 Mossy 500 Home Defense package with long and short barrels.

I already tried that argument with him and it was like pulling teeth for him to shell out just that much I tried having him get the 870 turners had on sale on black friday but he is pretty tight , so this was an ice breaker for him. im sure once he starts to get the hang of this I will have him back in the store

to my understanding all the mossberg accessories will work on the maverick except for the forend accessories.

Speaking of Mavrick...I just got my son one, a 12g for 177.00! That gun is just as good as my M500.

he'll get hooked.. all it took was one trip to the range with my first hand gun and now i cant stop buying guns, ammo. btw i was considering buying a maverick shot gun to try it out and compare it to my mossberg 500. that and i kind want a kiss shot gun. i went a bit crazy on my current.
