If you ever went into a bass pro shop.. They have rifles & SG in a special room where 10-100k items are displayed.
I dont even go into that section anymore after my 1st visit. It's difficult to comprehend

You need to check out the Fine Gun Room at Bass Pro in Rancho Cucamonga.
I have seen some around that price and higher.

The Bass Pro Shop in RC no longer has that showroom. They shipped everything that they had back east somwhere.

At least that was the story in early August of this year.

The Cabelas in Reno has a pretty good gun room. I've seen a few that were going for better than a hundred grand. The one that I remember best is the monster 4 bore...I drooled for a week.

It's gone. They use the room now to host the hunter safety classes and other group functions. They got rid of the fancy guns because there just wasn't a market for them in the Inland Empire.

wander over to the perazzi booth at SHOT if you ever go. you can actually handle guns with price tags of 200k+ on them. Now, those are NEW guns, not collectibles, but I tell ya, the workmanship, wood, and engravings on them is out of this world....once I shouldered one, I had a hard time putting it back down.

Some people are happy to have posters of art on their walls. Some people appreciate (and can afford) the real thing. Think of it as (1) a beautiful piece of art; (2) an example of incredible craftsmanship; (3) a pretty good investment; and (4) a working firearm

                          yup.

One year I went to SHOT and saw the high-end shotguns at the Perazzi booth. Matched set guns in all the bore sizes with the wood matching across the set.

and there was also a collector gun show going on the same weekend in Vegas. At the collector show, I think it was Holland & Holland that had a booth set up. They had a SxS shotgun there that had interchangable barrels, .410, 28ga, 20ga, and 12ga. $288k was the price for it.

IIRC, they were even set up to take measurements for your own custom-fit made-to-order shotgun/rifle if you had the green.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

but those people will still get outshot by a bum with an 870. works of art or not, parazzis arent worth buying. especially when there are 100000000 cheaper shotguns that shoot just as well.

Guys with $30K guns are not out shooting against bums with 870s, in fact they are seldom if ever shot. Collector grade firearms are not for the weekend pot shot, run to the desert to blast cans or even competitive target events. Either their rarity or their handcrafted unique value distinguishes the particular firearm as a "collector" or "high-grade - high value" product, in many cases as true works of art.
I have many friends with 10K-plus P and K guns. I've shot several of them and its an amazing experience. A few friends have K-80s that with the stock work are worth 20K easy. They shoot 20,000 rounds a year with them. They are high grade tools rather than high grade works of art.

This is high grade works of art.
