    Beretta Extrema2 rubber o-ring placement....

So, I just bought this shotgun. I put it together and take it apart. I see a small object fall to the floor and find its a rubber o-ring.

I didn't see where it fell from the shotgun and I dont see any specific mention of it listed in the manual unless it's labeled as something else.

The first pic is the o-ring.

Second pic it the part of the shotgun I believe it may go...

Third pic is where I believe it may go when installed.

I just want to make sure its in the right place. If anyone can check there gun or personally knows where it go can let me know I would appreciate it.

I do not have an o-ring there on mine.

Where the Piston (C5 in your manual) goes into the Gas Cylinder Assembly (C4) there is a green rubber type o-ring in mine, maybe that's missing.

Let me find a camera and I will take a photo of it real quick.

ETA: Okay here is a photo, this is the barrel pointed at the ground. With me looking down into the back side of the Gas Cylinder Assy.

Thanks for reminding me I need to clean mine.

Look at the tyranny of party -- at what is called party allegiance, party loyalty -- a snare invented by designing men for selfish purposes -- and which turns voters into chattles, slaves, rabbits, and all the while their masters, and they themselves are shouting rubbish about liberty, independence, freedom of opinion, freedom of speech, honestly unconscious of the fantastic contradiction... Sweet, thanks buddy.

I am flying to NorCal in the morning. Shooting with the father-in-law in the afternoon. I will be reading the manual on my flight.

I'm in crazy pack clothes, guns, ect. mode now....

Any tips on the shotgun before I use it tomorrow? Oil placement advice, info, ect....

      Thanks fellas.

I wish I had an answer to tips and such outside of what the manual says but I don't get to shoot mine that much so I can only offer that its a great shooter and tons of fun. I like mine a lot.

          To Alieron:

So I should be inserting the o-ring into the seat of the part you have pictured?

I don't see an o-ring in the picture....

            Crap I found the O-ring...

It goes in your plastic for-grip.

            Look at this photo...

Forward area of the grip. There is an O-Ring (Part 22) where the plastic insert plugs in (Part 18). Sorry about the mix-up.

You need to stuff it back in there by pushing between the Insert (18) and the for-grip (17) or pull the insert out and put it back and put the insert back in.

Oh man, that was overly-complicated but simple.

That part, 18, I thought was a simple plastic bushing that came from the factory but wasn't required. Upon closer inspection, it holds the forgrip tight and has the metal pin needle that tensions the for-grip screw. The rubber o-ring seats on the bushing.

Thnak you for the exploded diagram, I would have been lost without it..

Dang semi autos with fancy complicated parts...

damn, I wonder what would have happened if I had been dumb and shot the thing with the O-ring placed where I though it may have been originally seated?

I would have not done such a thing without at the very least calling Beretta or contacting a gun shop familiar with Beretta shotgubs...
