Why not Walmart? They sometimes have the cases of 10 boxes for pretty cheap.

What do you consider "large quantities"? We buy 20+ flats (cases) of Federals from Walmart often. They order it and let us know when it is in.

It's a two hour drive to walmart for me, i would rather place it online.

For target (birdshot) you want Walmart. It's still cheaper than Ammunitiontogo (which is still pretty good), and costs around $20 for a box of 100 shells.

Edit: Hm, didn't see your last post until I posted. Well, you can check out ammunitiontogo.com, they're usually one of the best prices around. I bought some Federal 00buck from them for HD.

I haven't ever seen anywhere that touches Walmart's prices on 100 round boxes of target loads. $22 with no shipping costs is hard to beat.

Even Ammoman.com wants almost double that. Ammunitiontogo.com is just under $60 for box of 250 of some brand I have never heard of. I'd still go for the Winchesters at Walmart, or Federal, but they are probably your best bet otherwise.

I'd recommend asking friends if they are heading to walmart anytime soon, and getting them to pick you up some when they do.

Cabela's Winchester Target 1 1/8 oz loads are on sale .....if you buy 5 or more cases....shipping is 20.00 to your door

you can only buy 6 cases/boxes of what ever from walmart now adays and they only sell ammo from 7am-10pm. that means you can buy 600 shells of birdshot or 30 rounds of buck/slugs at a time (actually you can buy 90 rounds of buckshot as they have 15shell value packs there). Any who, you can't beat the prices. Oh its more like 24 bucks at least if not 25-26 for a box of 100 birdshot from walmart, you gotta add in taxes and its 23 dollars now adays just for the box...

the sign says 6 box limit is for pistol and rifle rounds. Nothing about shotgun shells. All the walmarts i been too are loaded with shells. It would be silly to limit those to 6 boxes

6 boxes of pistol or rifle ammo, not shotgun. Unless the walmart you're going to is different than the rest. Buy all the shotgun you want.

Best thing about it, we are pretty much exempt from all this ammo grabbing. I went to Walmart and the case was absolutely empty except maybe one brick of CCI. Turned the corner.......holy grail of target load. They had 100 shell cases of Federal stacked like 6 high and 6 deep. You don't ever have to rush to get there or hope they are in stock....they will pretty much always have some. Same goes for a lot of the online dealers....always in stock.

If you buy the Federal #6 25 rd. box it's like 4.55 at Walmart. So even after tax you could get 100 rd. for under 20 bucks. I do it all the time. And yes you can only get six boxes.
