I have a M1 I use for waterfowling and it has been submerged several times. The only weakness in the Benelli (others as well) is that the spring will corrode if it gets wets. Mine did after the first season of shooting and caused some cycling problems the next year (I took the gun to J&G in Roseville and paid them $50 to clean it and they didn't break it down all the way but that's another story). So anyhow my friend said dunk it in the water in then check it when we get home. I did. It worked and I got my limit of ducks. I broke it down and replaced the tube/spring with the sure cycle stainless system and 11 yrs later it still rocks. It's the best shotgun I've owned and I've owned alot of them. Enjoy."I'm no school boy, I know what I like "
