    target 00 and slugs?

    Hello all-

Just wondering what brand slugs and 00 buck to use for target shooting in the desert. I usually use the wally world bird/multi use stuff but this time around i want to try out some heavier stuff. Any recomendations that won't break the bank? Thanks! I'll be using my 590 and single shot.

each brand will be different (even from gun to gun, the results can be dramatic!); it really depends what you want each shell to do. buy at least 10 of each and test test test. either way it should be fun! post your results.

+1 eccvets. Shotguns shoot different slugs differently. Your zero can change if you move the barrel band on it.

Find one your gun likes and stock up.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

I shoot a lot and test fire every one of my custom builds and rebuilds and I buy wolf 00 by the case. It seems a little hotter then others and performs very well. The price is right. I plan to stock up on a couple cases of their rifled slugs also as I hear good things about it. I have used most of the stuff out there and will stick with the wolf due to price and the fact it works so well. My 11-87P is a picky eater but it loves the wolf stuff.

Wally has the best prices for slugs, but not the best for 00. Suggest looking into a Cabela's order for 00 as they seemed to have the best bulk price.

Try some Wolf 3" slugs. You're shoulder will be like limp lasagna after about 20 rounds.
