    Who online has the cheapest price for a Surefire forend for an 870?

    idk who has the best price but I hear the recoil tends to hurt the hand which is holding on to the forearm.

      I discovered this a few weeks ago when I fielded my 870 with the forend. This will happen with any forend light though. If you're trying to avoid this, get a tube/barrel mounted light instead.

      Theres also a technique to holding the forend to reduce the forend slap.

        I ended up finding the surefire forend for my 870 on ebay. It was new in the box, with everything included. I think i paid around $200. Note that this was model 618FA.

        If you grip the surefire forend at the farthest point forward, yes the recoil will hurt your hand. But if you slide it back away from the front of the gun it won't hurt. It works for me anyway



        Here's a Surefire 618FA for $200, with $10 shipping, just for example.

          holy moly,did it come with a flash light? I mean 200 bucks for a peice of plastic forearm seems a bit pricey!

            The forend I was referring to is the forend/flashlight all-in-one unit. This is a picture of it
