    Shotgun barrel ??'s

I would like to get back into clay target sports, But will need a gun capable of most sports (auto with changeable chokes) how much barrel thickness do I need to have an older 1100 threaded for chokes? I really like the 1100 so that is what I would want to use (please dont recommend an over/under)..
    Thanks for your info, Jim

Whomever you solicit to have them "tube" your fixed barrel will know if it is suitable to be tubed. You will probably spend less just getting a second barrel that is threaded for chokes. Honestly you can probably find someone at the trap range that will trade you their tubed barrel for your fixed barrel (if it is fixed full). The older 30" fixed full barrels are highly sought after.

Send the barrel to Briley and have the long extended choke tubes installed, and have the forcing cone lengthened. Both are money well spent!
