TheOriginalFlavor is correct. The best choke for rifle slugs out of a smooth bore is the fixed modified as it stablized the slug. You will get great goups with that choke. Worst is the Cyl Bore. The I/C will serve but not as well as the modified. When I say fixed, I say this as I don't like Choke tubes and do not use barrels that have them. Most all of my LEO duty wepaons leave my shop with the Remington 18.5 fixed modified police barrel and these guys have always thanked me later as they get fantasic groups with slugs and great patterns with buck shot.JD McGuire, Owner
