Steyr,I used an extra 500 model barrel and a heat shield..drilled a rail in place.

The shotgun muzzle brake came from VERIFORCE TACTICAL (www.TacticalAccessories.com)$34.99

this is a 6 shot but I spoke with Mossberg and I could easily change it to a 590 model(9 shot)....But i have been tinkering with the idea of using a magazine box...that would really look cool.

Chris for now it's held in place with 4 allen screws and some locktight....I'll see how that holds...if not ,then i'll try something more permanent.

I also had an idea to use front post sights and a detachable AR carry handle....but this being a shotgun,the ring on the red dot seems to work pretty good as an aiming point by itself.

I may get the muzzle break for fine. How firm are the screws? Does the break stay on after rapid shooting?

Steyr...I haven't tried it yet,I think it will be ok.I cranked the screws down hard enough to dimple the barrel plus locktight.

If it does not hold I'll consider welding it.....or even JB weld.
