has anyone used both of these or perhaps both together? which is better? both say they reduce recoil by like 70-95% so I wonder which works and what doesn't.

limbsaver vs knoxx specops

A limb saver does not reduce felt recoil by 70% any more then the SpecOps reduces it by 95%. The limb saver is a very effeicent pad and a very comfortable one. I have shot it on the SpecOps stocks and it is more comfortable when shooting in a t-shirt then shooting the SpecOps with the standard pad that comes on it. The SpecOps works when used correctly but I don't see a 95% reduction in felt recoil even with the R3 pad on one. Now the Mesa with Endine buffer only claims 75% reduction in felt recoil but to me it feels more effective then the SpecOps which claims 20% more reduction. I did however have to put a slip on pad over the butt plate of the Mesa for more comfort when shooting in a t-shirt and due to the fact I have turned into somewhat of a whimp in my latter years........if you are looking for the best recoil reducing stock and can afford it, go with the Mesa with Endine buffer.JD McGuire, Owner
