870 POLICE SHOTGUN

I am thinking about selling my Remington 870 Wingmaster form the 1980's. Its in original box with remington POLICE folding stock in almost new condtion. 20 " barreal with rifle sights. I have a tough time looking up a fair price for it. Since I dont see them that much in this condition. Any ideas?

That, or put it in the F/S section. You are required to post an asking price, but the offers you get (or lack thereof) should give you some idea as to market value.

I will pst a pic asap. Like I said , I was just looking for a fair price if I decide to sell it. Its just a regular Wingmaster with a 20" barrel and rifle sights and REMINGTON factory folder from about 1980. In the box. It started its life as a factory folder not something that was done later.

The used Remington Factory folder alone is selling for around $175 to $200 and the weapon for around $300 - $375 in the condition you say it is in and you could make more by simply taking the folder off and puting a set of Police walnut stocks or even synthetics on it. Then list the Folder on Gb or other auction sites. You could ask $475 to $500 for the weapon but that is a stretch as most buyers don't understand that what you have is an 870 Police before they started engraving Police on them. If you change the stock out then list the weapon for $375 on GB and the Stock for $175. If not in a hurry for the money let it sit there till the right buyer comes along. I am a dealer so this is pretty good advise. If your interested in a New 870 P and would consider using the one you have as a trade in, PM me.. but remember, I am a dealer and could not give full retail....
