Weapons Light System (WLS) 2000 on a Moss?

hello fellow CalGun'rs, i want to add a flash night kit to my mossberg 500 that i use as a HD weapon.. there have been a time or two that i have thought this would really help me out while investigating a noise near or around my house at 3am.. i was looking for a budget kit.. i found the TacStar kit its about $100 or so.. so it's not too bad. does anyone here use it or have any experience with it? i would love to hear some feed back on it.. i already own a few TacStar products that i added to my mossy and i like the accessories so far. i want something that will not let me down. i want something affordable for my mossberg since i plan on getting a stream light TLR1/2 for my glock..

here is the link to the kit

    Weapons Light System (WLS) 2000

or if any has any recommendations on other flash light kits that are cheaper in price but not in quality that be great. or maybe share kits you put together your self and what it cost you?

    any advice would be appreciated

The best budget solution I have seen is to add a small rail to your shotgun and then you can use any of the Streamlight/surefire type hand gun type lights.

This one is supposed to work very well

Browse a HUGE selection of hunting rifles & shotguns, gun parts, gunsmithing tools, reloading equipment, ammo, and more! Brownells: Since 1939

Or you can screw a small piece of Picatinny rail on to the forend and attach the light to it.

Checkout the Streamlight TLR-1. Its a weapon-mounted LED light, works great and last I saw it was $90 at www.lapolicegear.com Then all you would need is a cheap way to mount it, such as the pic rail above.

Edit: Just saw you are buying the TLR-1 for your glock. Oh well, 2 is always better than 1!!

In the short term you can move it from handgun to shotgun and back as necessary. Versatility is good, plus you can tell your wife what a great deal it is since it works on 2 guns. Its like getting it for 1/2 price!!!!

Here is a pic of the TLR-1 on a CDM gear mount. Easy on and off, it doesn't take up any room on your forend and there's no monkeying anything up to make it work. You don't even need to remove the rail to take the clamp off.

Lowest bidder for life safety? Are you kidding me? The TLR-1 or any good LED light (the xenon gas bulbs will not stand up to the 12 ga.) is the way to go.
GG&G also makes a good rail for a quick mount on the fore end. Dedicated lights are good, but having a system that can use your handgun light and vice versa is even better.
