?Can you have as many shells as you want in a tube mag? Or is there a limit? on a pump.

No limit on shotguns, winchester 1300 pump 'defenders' will hold something like 16 rounds of aguilla mini shells.

S12's can be fitted with 20 round drums (if you had the drums pre 2000 or are law enforcement)

those restrictor plugs are for hunting... I believe many locations restrict you to 3 shells max while hunting.

In California. For a Pump shotgun, its 9 in the magazine + 1 in the chamber.

this is a DRUM

it is a form of magazine for a semiautomatic which allows the cartridges to be fed into the firing chamber.



This is a CYLINDER... note, the shells are contained with the firing chambers which rotate.

if you MAKE a new mag tube you run afoul of the hicap laws if you are not a LEO or otherwise exempt (i.e. properly permitted, or you have an armored car company sell it to you)

Yes you can have a drum for a shotgun legally, IF you can legally purchase it OR you had it before 2000.

tube guns are an odd duck, since there are different length shells which can be used to increase capacity.

Maverick 88's cannot be extended without replacing the entire barrel/magazine assembly, its a function of the shotguns design.

You can't just go out and BUY a 20 round drum unless you are exempted (LEO etc.)

If you are a LEO (or otherwise exempted) and would like one PM me and I can put you in touch with a properly licensed dealer in CA who would be more than happy to sell you one.
