    flash at night

I don't have anyplace even close to here that I can shoot at night, you know, in the dark and all that. I am wondering if in a nighttime defense sitch in the home if the muzzle flash could be a major issue for follow up shots. I do have a shurefire G2 on the magtube, which is pretty bright, but still...

What are the good low flash buckshot rounds and are they less powerfull?

Muzzle flash should not be much of an issue with a shotgun even with an 18" barrel. Besides in a gunfight you're not going to notice it anyway.
I'm only smiling at you while you talk to me because it's hilarious that you really think I give a crap about you.

As I've gotten older I thought I was gaining patience, then I realized I simply don't give a crap.

I've never had issues with muzzle flash on my shotgun. It's a large bore, so flash is dispersed very quickly.

The only time Muzzle flash was an issue was when I was hot loading ammo with Blue Dot and lighter charges of shot. Mean fireball out of that, but otherwise, it shouldn't be an issue.

all the post above are correct, however, if this is a weapon you intend to use to defend your life, you should shoot it in all kinds of situations. Shooting on the firing line at the local range in perfect conditions is not going to get you ready for that day or night you have to use. Yes, find somewhere to shoot this weapon at night so you will have at least seen how the weapon responds in the dark. Find a place where you can do 50 jumping jacks or run all out for 100 yards then pick up the weapon and fire. Do these things and get ready to use that weapon when it is all on the line..

If you're going to a gun fight, take a shotgun. If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.

when i shoot my 590 with 3" magnum slugs it sends out a 2 foot flash! its prettty sweet. but not too much else does that in it and hopefully you aren't using slugs for home defense cause its gonna take more than a wall to stop that.
