New front site question

I purchased a new front glow site for my shotgun. It seems to want to stop about halfway too far as I screw it in. How do I make it align correctly?

Should I just use some loctite on it and let it dry in alignment?

On something that small, I'll take some wire and wrap it around the base of the threads of the sight to make a washer.
