I have a 6 pos stock and it came with a remington and winchester adapter too. You do not need a adapter for the stock but do use a shorter screw to install the stock in.

Ok thanks for the answer, so I need not worry about the adaptor since I have a maverick?

Also anyone know anything about the heat shield with ghost ring sights? i have a feeling the sight would stop the top folding action, etc. Anyone Know ? Thanks guys

I have the ATI top folding stock on my Mossberg with a heatshield and NO ghost rings.

No adaptor needed for Mossberg. Of that I am 100% sure. I am 99.99% sure you will work find with the ghost rings. It is difficult to explain, but if you look at the inside part of the stock taht would fold over the top, you can see that the reinforcement parts in the middle are cut out in the center. So as long as your ghost rings are:

        1) Mounted dead center on the heatshield

        2) Not ridiculously (and I do mean ridiculously) tall

        you should be just fine.

As previously mentioned, you do not need an adapter when using with a Mossberg.
From my experience, I've noticed that when mounted on a Mossy, it tends to not fold all the way over such that it touches the barrel. I currently have the ATI on a 590 with a heat shield and there
s still spare room under it. I have no idea if there'll be enough clearance for your sights as I've never seen the ones that mount on the heatsheld in person.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say by this.

This is whats throwing me off balance:

There is the top folder. A heatshield w/ sights ( looks sort of like the one I bought) and then there is also a ghost ring adaptor... If you already have the heatshield sights , why get the adaptor

                just confused
