    Which gun for my son?

I have a 17 year old who is a natural shot. I started him with a Stoeger
20 ga and he picked it up quickly. I bought a Beretta tactical and he
blows every clay out of the sky. I'd like to step things up for him and get him an autoloader...a good one. We just shoot clays and he'd like to start shooting skeet. What's a good 12 gauge to take him to the next level?
    Thanks!
PS I'm considering everything from the Mossberg 930 to the Beretta 391

Classic Remington 1100......They are great, common and affordable. We just bought a like new TB trap for my wife for 325.00 on Gunbroker. I shot probably 10,000 rounds through my old trap gun. never faltered.

      Benelli Vinci
Winchester 1400/140 (I have one of these that has seen at least 2500+ rounds without a hick-up)
      Browning A5

      Just my $0.02

All depends on what you want to spend-

My brother shoots trap (He was on the squad that won Nat'ls in Ill.) and was using a Beretta AL391 but since June has been shooting a Ljutic Mono-Gun. The Beretta has more felt recoil than my Benelli m2 and after 600-800rnds consecutively, it would made his shoulder raw. Then again, that was shooting in just a t-shirt, so a padded shooting shirt might make a difference. I shoot trap and hunt with the m2 and its been nothing but great. Recoil is minimal, since its inertia operated vs gas, the gun stays much cleaner much longer, and after ~5,500 shells its yet to jam/give me any sort of problem

Since you two are shooting a lot of clays, most of the autoloaders you see at the clay ranges are Beretta semi-autos.

            Thanks!

Thanks for all the info. I took it to the gun store and the first bargain I ran
across was a beautiful Remy 1100 with the nice engraving and checkering. Very clean and I picked it up for 400. Thanks, guys.

                    Thanks!

I was going to convince him that I was his long lost son and that I wanted a new shotgun.

If he only shoots trap then the best choice is a Browning BT 99. Around 1800 bucks. If he wants to shoot doubles and continential then a Browning XT around 2500 bucks.

A Browning Lightning if they still make them or a Beretta O/U of some kind for skeet.

I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.
