    Saiga 20

Have been reading a lot of discussion regarding the Saiga 12's but haven't heard much about Saiga 20's and was wondering if it has any issues compared to the 12ga or why it's not as popular... I know it's more fun to shoot 12ga but any other reason??

Also aren't they similar in construction using comparable parts with the exception of caliber dependent parts (e.g. barrel, mags, etc.)? And I'm assuming the same regulation applies and also magazine locks (BB etc.) would be identical...??

This would also fit the Saiga 20 right?

There are few 12ga and some 410 so I just thought it would be nice to have a 20ga to be different.

I've seen a converted 410 and 20 before. Not sure why they aren't as popular. Maybe mags are harder to find or something. Personally I am buying a 12 very soon, probably order it this week. The fully converted red jacket ones are FAR too nice to pass up.

I dont see why you couldnt adapt an S-12mag lock to work with a saiga-20,
though Ive never seen an S-20 up close. most conversion parts should work for the s-20 although Id check saiga-12.com for more info.

12ga ammo is available everywhere, theres a ton of aftermarket stuff for the S-12, and recoil is pretty managable.

Personally... Id stick with the 12 ga hands down if I had to buy another...

I think everyone goes with 12 ga because the ammo is cheaper and has more variety. I imaginemostof the parts are the same.

lots has to do with the wider availability and choice of 12 ga ammo vs a 20 or 410.
