    Last Mossberg 590 A1

Bought the last Mossy 590A1 from Turners Norwalk today.

This guy was looking at it and debating it over the 870 Express. When he handed it back to the clerk, I asked if he was going to buy it and he said, "I don't know".

So, I said I'll take it.

Already have a Rem 870P and Benelli M4, so this will be the beater trunk gun.

Plan to keep it in a PVC pipe secured to the trunk, Mossberg Style, but mine will be under the mat.

Just going to put the Knoxx Comp stock, and side saddle. Any other mods you would suggest?

I did just that to mine - Knoxx stock and side saddle - ready for business. Oh, I added a flashlight too. I have a shell bandoleer as well but that's only for zombie outbreaks.

Which flashlight holder did you get. I'm looking for that as well. Last item, , I've heard myself say that before.

Have you considered getting the Knoxx folding stock with breachers grip?
It looks like it folds up nice and compact and still has the recoil reduction.

Not sure if it would fit in the J.I.C. containers that Mossberg puts out though... It looks like part of the stock sticks up when folded, which means it may not fit in a PVC pipe.... But it would be nice and compact for a Trunk Gun.

        Just an Idea....

I've always like this option, but have never been sure about when it's folded. I wonder if the wire stock can be removed and replace with a top forder like the remington or ATI stock has.

I had one of the knoxx top folding stocks and it was great. Easy to manipulate.

Had this on a remington. While I like the folded and stock option it privides.

When you fold it and look down the barrel, there's at least 2inch by 2 inch black blocked out area that impedes vision for a chunk of square feet in front of the gun.

Didn't know this till I got one.

I got this universal tube-mount from Botach:

Then whatever light setup you want for a typical rail.

                Nice, the Mossy JIC rifle.

Sling, light, butt cuff or side saddle and you are good to go. I stongly encourage you to take a two or four day shoting training class. You will be amazed at how much you will learn.

As for the Knoxx, they are really good. I prefer the one that looks like the standard rifle stock. That way you can still access the tang safety without having to break your firing grip.
RIP Louis Awerbuck. I miss you and your training.
