It would not be legal on semi-auto, pump-action and bolt-action shotguns.
But, IMO, it would be legal on lever-action shotguns [PC 12020(c)(25)(C)].
Penal Code 12020
(c)(25) As used in this section, "large-capacity magazine" means any ammunition feeding device with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds, but shall not be construed to include any of the following:
(A) A feeding device that has been permanently altered so that it cannot accommodate more than 10 rounds.
(B) A .22 caliber tube ammunition feeding device.
(C) A tubular magazine that is contained in a lever-action firearm.sigpic

Hey...I'm going to bump this... I just bought a UTAS uts-15. As far as I can see, there isn't much of a difference between their functions. So the xrail must be legal? I have a benelli right now that can only shoot six shots compared to my uts which shoots 15. I would like to order the xrail to make it so I have 2 guns that have 15 or more rounds in each.Comment
