Harrington & Richardson opinion? (Cheap semi-auto)

    Hi all,

I did a 'Search' and didn't find hits on 'H&R' nor 'Harrington'. Anyone out there has good experience with their 12 Ga Semi-Automatic in comparison to the more common Charles Daly or Mossberg?

    Thanks.

Marlin Firearms has made good use of the New England Firearms and H&R 1871 names since acquiring them in 2000. Though there is arguably a lot of product overlap between NEF and H&R, having those different names permits Marlin to offer more distinct product lines. The company is taking particular advantage of that situation when it comes to offering shotguns outside of the break-open, single-shot design for which NEF and H&R are both known.

What do you want to know about the H&R Excell A5. I have some experience with them. They are very similar to the CD semi autos. All of the Turkish semi semi autos are very similar as well as the pumps.

Were beating a dead horse.....If they made a 50.00 shotgun...people would buy them and there will be positive feedback. Its a general additude that if it throws lead its a great shotgun.

They are very reliable with all brands of ammo, gas operated and everything is located up front. Comes with two gas pistons in one. The only weak part on the shotgun is the extractor. The same shotgun as the Verona SX 405. Shotgun World forum has a whole section on the Verona shotguns as well as the H&R shotguns.

Thank you Max100 as I honestly can't afford a SBE 2. Also, the price is right where the "boss" won't go O_o! yay!

No problem. When you get it and have any questions just post them or give me an email. It takes the same O-rings as the Remington 1100.

                          +1!

I always research shotguns over at www.shotgunworld.com. They're a great resource, especially with the less well known shotguns.
