You can't go much wrong with any of the "B" shotguns. There is a wide price range though.
Buying used is a good idea if that's your thing.

      Browning Citori CXS 32" $2300ish

      Sorry Pic won't load.

Mine works fine, and fits me well right out of the box.

Focus on fit, most things in those price ranges will likely be solid. Shotguns are pretty much just tubes (although they need to be well regulated tubes), how they work with your physique is what matters.

Kerplow - It's worth your time to go out to Pacific Sporting Arms in Azuza.

Jordan will be very helpful in every aspect (short of test firing) of finding what seems to fit/feel/balance best for you.

The time he spends with you will be worth you're while and you will probably learn a lot.

Take your time and don't rush to buy. First try several for the particular sport i.e. skeet, trap or hunting. Second prepare to upgrade unless you go top of the line out of the shoot. Third fit is the most important. If the shotgun does not fit her well, it will not matter how well the firearm is made accuracy will suffer.

For trap I use BT-99. Great shotgun. Skeet O/U is my choice. Citori by Browning is a great entry level. Also go to the range and talk to folks. Many will be more than willing to share thoughts and might even let her try their firearm.

            Good luck.

Thank you I will check them out. I understand fit is the #1 concern and I don’t trust the knuckleheads at most gun shops. I currently have a Winchester model 101 that I seem to shoot well enough. I recently attended a charity sporting clays event and the loaner guns were nice Brownings which gave me to bug to want a flashier scatter gun.

It was my first time actually keeping score and I was better than 90% of the nubs out there. Usually when I shoot sporting clays I just fart around at the various stations until I feel like they’re too easy or I’ve wasted enough ammo. Actually keeping score made it much more fun.

I 100% agree with BOBGBA's advice, fit is primary in all clays sports. I also agree with Beretta or Browning, both make great clays guns that are superb.

I've only shot a Perazzi once and while they are REALLY nice, I don't think they help raise your scores. IMHO, with shotguns like Perazzis and Krieghoffs, they are more status symbols than necessary tools to shoot well.

Get one with an adjustable comb that feels good to you. 30” or maybe 32” barrels. At $2K and up, the rest is just cosmetics.

Browning Citori or Beretta Silver Pigeon, both have different fit characteristics. Best to go to a dealer who knows about fitting a shotguns and trying them out. I went to a clays course/range to try out their rentals. In my case the Beretta was the one. Both outstanding guns, I bought my 686 SP1 9 years ago for approx. $1800 from Joel Etchen (eventually got my wife one), but I wouldn't be surprised if they are more today.

I bought one of these in January. It's really pretty.

While some like ported barrels, they don't do anything for me.
Ported barrels are louder than non ported barrels and some folks may not want to shoot in your group because of this (this could be a plus if you don't want to shoot with them ).
