    High Standard Flite King 410

I have a few HS shotguns in 12 Gauge and just bought this Flite King in 410 chambering.

Looks like it was used by a little old lady once a year to shoot Thanksgiving dinner.

Is disassembly same as the 12 gauge types? Having a set of screws on each side - the other HS I have don't have them. I just want to get as far as popping out the trigger groups and doing some cleaning, lubing.

Vintage .410 shotguns are very cool, not all that common to find, and pricey when you do come across one.

    Nice grab!!
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

        Thanks all.

Kind of surprised the bolt can't be removed for cleaning unless you first remove the stock.

And yes - I was a bit surprised re the "ouch factor" when I bought it. I've got about 20 turkeys walking through my back yard, some males with beards long enough to trip over.

        I'm considering it .....

Towards the end HS was licensing out their shotguns. Savage and Stevens then eventually overseas. Hopefully they didn't change too much.

Interesting that the barrel appears to screw into the receiver, is that correct? Is the receiver made of aluminum or steel?

410s are cool, especially vintage examples. Looks like a nice one.

If you’re like me and buy ammo vs reload, grab 410 whenever you can, haha!! I just got a few cases of Winchester #9 2.5” from Targetsports recently. It was sold out within a few hours.

Steel receiver. The barrel is threaded in to the receiver.

The receiver looks like it's 20 gauge sized. The barrel has a step from it to the receiver.

Hadn't noticed but whatever the heck the slide bars are called connecting the forend to the bolt - one on each side, not just one.
