Its the new 590s in 20 inch. Anyone has the S model, and what can you tell me about it with reliability and function?

Good luck trying to find one for sale at the MSRP.

Been wanting to get one (20" with bayonet lug), since they announced them but could only find them in the $800-900 range, when available, in CA.
Mostly wanting to get one to just to run mini-shells.

I just picked up a new 870 express tactical yesterday. I must say it looks really really nice. a huge step up from the Stephens 320 tactical that I had. I looked at all the Mossberg?s and decided to go with Remington.


Can?t go wrong with either one. The hard part is just finding one.

GalleryofGuns could have a 590S at a participating LGS probably within a week.
Find one in stock will also depend on an FFL deciding to stock a 590S Mossberg-brand shotgun. Just because an FFL doesn't have one in stock only indicates what the LGS decides to spend money on for its inventory.

Just get one of those clips, they're supposed to work fine. Good luck finding the mini-shells.

Problem with the clip, is it needs to be removed in order to use 2.75" or 3" shells.

Mini-shells are easier to obtain than the Mossberg 590S.

In addition, I already have several hundred mini-shells, which I use with my Kel-Tec KSG.

Just want a non-bullpup shotgun that can use mini-shells and standard shells without needing to install/remove an adaptor clip.
^Also want to something to attach my M9 bayonet to.
