Beretta 391 is extremely popular. Upon much research about the same question, I got one.

Used for sports and hunting. Fantastic, lots of aftermarket. Fails only after a few thousand rounds.

You will see shells ejected closer and closer and/or perhaps bolt not closing fully.

But only after LOTS of rounds.

I'm very happy with it.

As stated above, fit is everything.

There are many stock shims that come with this gun for cast and drop and lots of aftermarket shims and parts as well.

The 391 is used so much that many aftermarket parts about for it for quick disassembly, so you can get to the guts and for ease of maint., etc. Just to demonstrate the prevalence of it.

My next is another Beretta but this time and O/U. Ready to graduate from my learning with this to a self gift.

Get a brown citori and if the budget allows it make it a cynergy , thats what I have. The cynergy demans so much respect its like the old folks part apart like moses did with the red sea when I am up for my turn at local tourneys. Oh an try to go with a 30inch barrel.
