870 Wingmaster Conversion Adventure

So after signing up for a Sentinel Concept shotgun course, I decided to take on a new project.

I bought an old Wing Master about 10 years ago and it hasn't seen the light of day since. Because it has a good baseline, I decided to upgrade it to become a tactical shotgun.

So far, I ordered a:
-Magpul stick and foreend
-Wilson Combat +2 extension
-Magpul sling adapter
-20" Remington barrel with night sights
-Mesa Tactical 6" rail and side saddle

I'll post pics as it all comes together. Better ~$500 than $1200+ on a 1301.

Nice project, Daniel.

If that is what you honestly want for your shotgun, I would say NICE, congrats. And since its an older shotgun, might as well replace the extractor with a volquartsen, the dog carrier spring, the magazine follower, and the magazine spring. You know, so that you will have new parts through and through.

PS: Have a spare ejector handy too.

Everything for Mossberg 500's like mine, work for 870's as well. Pay special attention to the Large Recoil Pad adapter as it helps a lot, as well as the part about ammo choices for training. get rid of the plastic Side Saddle, they just get in the way when a Velcro one Rips Right Off when it's not needed. Faster to reload as well.

When you go to your class you will see why what you are doing is the most efficient way to get into Combat Shotguning, as opposed to buying a $1800 Gun to learn how to use said Gun, and getting the snot beat out of you in the process.
