Who does shotgun customomization/modification?

Vang Comp can do that, they invented it. They can do the Cera-Kote too.

However they are so busy right now it might take a while.

Where ever you decide on make sure that they can do everything in house. You don't want to deal with more than one place and this isn't that hard a job if the outfit is set up to do it.

hunterb: Thanks for the validation! You think they are the worst run company on the planet but since I actually know them and talk to them frequently I can tell you that they are one of the busiest outfits in the Firearms Business.

They are currently working on a few hundred Mossberg 500 complete makeovers which are worth more than a Ejection Port Mod that takes an Hour to set up on the mill and then 10 minutes to run. It is not feasible to solicit that type of work because there isn't any money in it.

They are quoting 2 years lead time on Oddball Custom Piece Work now to discourage people from sending that type of work to them and Ultimately Pissing the Customer Off when it goes long on the completion end.

I just sent a Marlin Barreled Action and related Piece Parts in for Cera-Koting last week. They are running a batch of Black Cera-Kote this coming week. So it will be coming back quickly. I'm even paying for it!

But with them "Timing is Key."

I posted pics earlier this year of two bolt guns that I sent them for the same process. They came back in Two Weeks as well, because I called them and found out when they were running that process.

In case you haven't figured it out EVERYBODY is Super Busy right now because of the Upcoming War, and everybody wants to be carrying their Favorite Gun when the SHTF!

That war will start about Second Week of November 2024 if Trump doesn't get elected !!!

In one of the posts above there was an outfit that wasn't even answering their phone ? Maybe they are super busy as well?

As far as Taran goes he has a local Gunsmith in TO that does all his custom work, and he is backed up way into next year. Also he doesn't give a ship about your whining, so you can take your chances,, But don't get your hopes up cuz you probably will be disappointed. Now if you are Keanu or Hally Berry there is an expedited service available but it costs lots more.

All I'm telling you is that you have got to learn to work with people in order to get what you want out of life. I do pretty well in that regard!.

Not very good at fixturing if that's the case.

Now I could see not wanting to break down the machine that's busy making money.

Maybe you could call them for OP and ask them when they'll be doing a run.

I talked to Cody about fixturing for this operation. He doesn't have anyone who can design and make a fixture, but maybe I'll talk to him about building one for that operation. I am fully capable of building such a thing as I am a Machinist/ Toolmaker by Trade.
