One do it all shotgun (Except hunting)

I have a Beretta AL390 (gas pre300), Benelli Montefeltro, O/Us...plenty of hunting guns. I sold off my 870 and SLP and am back in the market for a combat shotgun to blast stuff with in the desert and keep in my office for home defense while I work from home. Mostly this is just a shotgun that will go on shooting trips to feed all the leftover shotgun shells I have left over from odd boxes, blasting random junk. It will be stoked with buck and slugs at home.

    I'm thinking either:

    Beretta A300 Patrol
    Used M2 Benelli
    Used M1 Super 90 Benelli
    M3020/M3000 Stoeger

Which way, Western man? I am kind of leaning towards a used M1 Super 90.

I'd choose the Beretta A300 Patrol.

Recently picked up A300 Patrol but ordered some parts before I start blasting stuff. If I had the budget I would get the Beretta 1301 but the A300 should not disappoint since I'm not an uber shotgun master and for my needs the A300 will be more than enough.

Found this company GG&G which makes some good aftermarket parts for it as well as other shotguns and some rifles.

I’m in the same situation. I picked up one of these last week. $315. Figured I could use it for coyotes, turkeys and home defense

Known as the “VRPA40,” Rock Island's slide-action scattergun also breaks new ground by offering shooters a magazine-fed pump shotgun at a very affordable price point.

From your choices, I’d go with the A300 Patrol but the 1301 is very appealing. My current go to though is a Remington 870 - it’s just a workhorse.

                  Oh man, tough choice.

I have a soft spot for the M1 Super 90. I was issued the 14” barrel version back in the day. 1,000’s of rounds, run hard. Never a failure. What a shotgun!!

But, I really like the A300 Patrol I recently picked up (Tiger Stripe FTW, haha!!).
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

A Remington 870 police model would be ideal. Especially one of those older retired ones.

                      OP

Great guns on your list BUT you left out 2 of the best choices.

Remington 870 Wingmaster and Mossberg 590A1.

I would give the nod to the 870 simply because it has never failed me in 45 years of service in multiple environments.

                        Recently picked up a 1983-84 Mossberg 500cg 20 gauge. I haven't shot it yet.
Rarely you find a 18 inch 20 gauge. Needs ghost rings and light.

Yeah your whole list is fine except if you've never ran a Tac Shotgun you don't realize that there is a lot more to running one than meets the eye. It is best to learn all this on a Pump Action gun, as you can break down each step into individual movements, which will transfer to a SA when you make that leap.

Plus that a Pump Gun is way more reliable than a SA and can run any type of Ammo so you are not saddled with trying to find specific types of ammo that your gun likes. A M500 will run any 2 3/4 or 3" ammo made with no change to the gun. Even my Browning A5 will need a set up change to switch from Low Base to High Base Loads and it won't run 3" shells at all. It is chambered for 2 3/4" shells only.

If you are just getting into Tactical Shotguns you really should be looking at the manually operated guns, so that you can learn how to use them properly. They are also a fraction of the cost of a 1301 or any of the other ones you mentioned.
