How robust (tactikool worthy) are Syringe Loaders?

Say I've got an extended 10rd mag tube, and I've got 7 loaded but want to top off with a full 5rd Syringe. Will it load 3 all nice and neat and leave 2 in the Syringe, or will it half load a shell and leave it hanging half assed out or will it drop a shell on the ground?

Do they work with 3" shells or 3.5" shells (on 3.5" gun)?

I didn't see any scheme to carry them in the field or tactikool. I'd think that would be a major part of selling point, and how much of a beating will they take and still hang on to their load of shells?

They've been used by (IPSC, 3-Gun, etc) competition shooters since the 1990s.

Modifying the shotgun to make them feed better is a common thing.
Competitors use custom made belt/hip carriers to carry all the loaders.

They are not as popular as they used to be during the 1990s, mostly due to use of detachable magazine shotguns or utilization of better reloading techniques (quad loading, etc) being a faster and/or more reliable options.
