OU not cocking - Advice needed

Hello fellow Calgunners!

Last weekend I went to shoot some manual trap at Los Altos. After about 30 rounds, my Lanber OU failed to cock. It ejected the rounds but when i closed the action and pulled the trigger, nothing. Changed the selector to the other barrel, nothing. I thought I might have snapped the sear but when I took off the buttstock, it's fine. It looks like the hammers wont cock back when the action is opened. I manually cocked the hammers with a flat head and the sears engaged and was able to fire both hammers using the selector.

Does anyone know the fix or could point me to a gunsmith that works on OUs?

Figure out how your Lambert cocks the hammers. Start at the bottom end of the forearm, there should be some kind of spring activation.
Next, check how it transfers the opening of the gun to the hammers. There should be some kind of spring loaded rods that run through the receiver to the hammers.
Follow the line from the forearm to the hammers and you should fine the problem

Never owned a Lambert so I can't be more specific

I agree with the above post. Its usually the forearm that has the cocking mechinism...see if something looks wonky there.
