I am taking off for Argentina in a few weeks for a red stag hunt followed by a 3 day dove hunt.
I did not want to use my 20 gauge Aya side by side for this due to high volume of shooting not to mention it has a full wood stock and no recoil pad.
So, I ordered a Bennelli ETHOS Cordoba BE.S.T in 20 gauge, figured an inertia driven shotgun would be better for high volume shooting.
Take it out to the range to test, about every 6-10 rounds I would get a misfire. Not even a mark on the primers of the rounds. I call Pacific Sporting Arms and they suggested trying better ammo than the Winchester white box I was using. So, I go again the following week and start using Winchester AAs. Worse results, misfire every 4-5 rounds and again not even a mark on the primers. Same shells would fire the next time around.
Well, I took the gun back. They said I could have their gunsmith look at it but no guarantees. Instead they offered to trade it for a Beretta A400 even though the Beretta listed a couple of hundred dollars higher.
I filled the DROS paperwork and picked it up 10 days later, and so far no issues.
I can't imagine Turner's or another store volunteering to exchange firearms especially with the paperwork involved.
So, again kudos to Pacific Sporting Arms and Jordan Hirschi, the manager.
