Do you mean tungsten shot or is tunet a brand of buckshot?

So I had to google, I hadn’t heard of it but I am a connoisseur of cheap buckshot. I’ll try to remember to get a list tonight of the different cheap brands I’ve tried. I’m not sure if you found a good deal on it but everything I saw online showed it at $20-26 for a box of 25. At that price you could just buy Winchester/Olin and probably get a little better product?

The stuff I buy is from $4 for a 10 pack to $7 for a 15 pack. Some made in Turkey some in Russia. It all runs a stoeger m3000, and works fine in a mossberg or Remington pump gun.

I saw it on sale for under 50 cents per shell. It's supposed to be made in France.

Okay, so the types I’ve bought that all work good are:

Rio - I thought made in Spain but their website pushes hard that they’ve moved all manufacturing for shells sold in the US to Texas. Decent prices but they seem to have gone to boxes of 5 instead of 25. $2.69 for a box of 5.
Fetter - made in Russia, works great, good deal at $7 for a box of 15.
Sterling - Turkish buckshot with a funny kind of marketing with British type flair on the packaging. Boxes of 10 for $6, also works great, I’ve shot a lot of this as I picked it up in case quantity a couple times.
There’s a weird new one I’ve used a small amount of, it’s called like “American Buffalo” or something similar. Comes in both solid black boxes with orange lettering and white boxes with black graphics and orange lettering. Made in US, $6 for 10, really inconsistent in when it’s available and what size (00, #1, #4).

I would encourage you to buy some of this new type of shell and test it out and post a review. We all gotta learn by trial at some point, it helps everyone out if you try it and share your findings.

Rio is popular as a cheap off-brand but there isn't any where I live. I have to order it. Even when I was in the big city at Sportsmans they only let me buy 2 small boxes max.

If I buy this Tenet I have to buy 250 rounds at a time. To make it worse, shipping is 30 bucks. I can drive to the big city to pick it up but I calc'ed the gas cost to be 40 bucks.

After typing that out I realized I was being stupid about worrying about the shipping cost. Sure, I would like to be able to walk into a store in town and buy whatever buckshot. But there isn't any to buy, so I went ahead and ordered it.

I don't know why I didn't post the site before, but here it is:

That’s a great price. If it’s going to go in a pump gun it’ll likely be fine. Even if it’s going in a semi auto buckshot at 1300 fps should cycle anything.

We'll see. The thing that can be sketchy about foreign ammo is the length. I think my gun is supposed to be able to use 3" shells, so if it's over length it should okay. I don't know what would happen if it's short.

It should be fine- foreign shotgun shells are usually over-length slightly due to the different style crimp compared to US made shells.

When fired they should all be the same length. The type of crimp may only affect box magazines. Tube magazines may hold one less round depending on the pre fired length.

Still haven't shot any, but the annoying thing is the vendor I bought it from had tables at the gun show last weekend and was selling for the same price. I could've saved the entire shipping charge.

In other news, Botach has Rio on sale. Low recoil buck, ordinary buck, and slugs all at the same price - $99.99 for a case of 250.
