    New shotgun, first O/U

I retired this summer, and returned to skeet shooting after a 35 year hiatus. I found a lot had changed, and I soon wanted a O/U. After much research, I decided I wanted a Browning 725 Sporting in 32". Poor timing, as they proved hard to find, but found two a couple hours drive away. Picked one and jailed it, went back and brought it home. Excellent balance, fit, finish, nice wood, great trigger. Weather and lack of time has only allowed a trip to the trap range (1st time ever), but I am thoroughly pleased with the gun.

Congrats on the new addition. I have the same gun, in 30"

Sounds like you are ready to have some fun!

I also have a 30" 725, very nice gun. Mine is mainly for Skeet, but I haven't shot much Skeet lately...

It fits me well - I'm 6'3", 240. It fit me better than the Beretta 686, and I liked the trigger enough to justify the cost. Buy once, cry once. I expect to use it almost exclusively for skeet, but there wasn't a rangemaster available for skeet last Saturday - so I shot Trap, just to get a feel for the new gun. I didn't adjust the comb, and should have, so I was pretty consistently under the bird. The Wednesday crowd of skeet shooters is pretty consistent, so I'll start shooting on Wednesdays. Saturday is Christmas Eve, so it's liable to be empty then.

Do you like 32 inch barrels for skeet?

I don't know yet, but I think I will. I had my choice of 30 or 32, handled both. Balance was perfect on both, very little weight difference. The 32 just felt better to me. YMMV.
