    Barrel with unmarked Choke Designation

I just bought a Huglu home defense shotgun and there are no markings on the barrel for the choke. I read the owners manual and it does not specify wht ammo to use.

If it safe to say I can shoot all ammo through it including slugs?

The barrel does have a front wing sight with fiber optic sight but no rifling in the barrel.

The Shotgun in question is a Huglu/Best Arms BA312-PG with pistol grip.

It is a fixed choke. There are no threads in the barrel for chokes.

Since it's a "self defense" shotgun that should be used for short range situations, I would bet that it's either cylinder bore or Improved cylinder.

You could use an inside micrometer and measure the smallest diameter in the bore.

I contacted ADCO which is in the owner's manual and all I got was an " I don't know".

If there are no choke markings it's usually cylinder bore, which would make sense for a defense shotgun.

I would guess Cylinder Bore. Slugs should be no problem, if it was it would say in the manual.

              ><

Never known a barrel to be unmarked. Some use codes ,**-, OOO, 1/2......... for choke

Measure it with calipers. But, it's likely cylinder or improved cylinder.

Way back when (I’m 81) we used to take a dime and if it wouldn’t slide inside the barrel (12ga) we figured full choke if it went all the way in IC or cylinder, just a SWAG though.

If you can get ahold of some calipers you can just measure it. You shouldn't shoot slugs through a really tight choke.

The web page for Cheaperthandirt indicate this shotgun takes Mobil choke??

Is this a gas gun or inertia gun?

It's a gas gun. It is not threaded for chokes.
