    Remington 11-87 Sporting Clays

As I’ve gotten much older and not many places down here to shoot not sure I could any more I’m thinking of listing my 11-87 Sport Clays it’s a 12 ga, 28 inch barrel, has all 5 chokes blued model and 99.8% nice. Hasn’t been shot or out of the safe since Miramar closedown. Bought in new have original box & paperwork.
    What’s a fair price? Thank.

Gunbroker shows 4 listings that expired with only 1 bid. High ask was $900.00, low ask was $700.00.

I have the exact same gun, it's a great one. $850 seems fair.

Or come up to Raahauge's in Corona, and break some clays with us.

Thanks for the offer but don’t drive much any more. Have to stay close to home for wife, her eyes aren’t what they used to be.

I agree with ysr's opinion of $850. I had one of the Express models and I liked it a lot. The 11-87 is an excellent shotgun.

I also lament the closing of Miramar. I put $100 on my card and they closed the next week. That irritated me. It looks like it is going to be permanently closed. I started shooting there around 1980. Shooting trap and skeet there was so convenient that I kept a shotgun in the trunk of my car along with some ammo and my pouch. If I was driving by, I would just stop and shoot a round of trap or skeet and then be on my way.

I remember when the shotgun ranges were on the other side of the runway. They had a active duty skeet tournament around 78-79 time frame myself and a couple of others took part, my first time shooting international skeet. Best thing was I may have been one of the few shotshell reloaders there that day I collected boxes of 12 ga AA once fired cases I was still using some of these when San Diego Shotgun Sports closed.
When Target Tossers was open bunch from work shot there after work on Wednesdays.

These 11-87 sporting clays guns are really great guns, but unfortunately they're just not that popular.

I've got one, I never shoot it, but I'd never sell it. You don't see them very often.

Beautiful shotgun, let me know if you decide to sell it. I love them and have 4 others.

I grew up with a neighbor who reloaded shotgun shells. He took me dove hunting and taught me to scrounge for shotgun shells to reload. When I was in the police academy, I took all of our once fired high based shells, and I still have two large tubs of them.

I believe the Miramar trap and skeet ranges can be opened. My guess is the range needs a better means of trapping the lead pellets. A thin concrete pad and a high wall should be able to accomplish the task.

Oh man. I had one and sold it in 2016 for $675. Box, papers, chokes - everything. Regretted it ever since.

11-87 was never popular, but it is a great 12g semi auto

I'm in San Diego too. I'll give you $850 for it. I'm assuming you have the green plastic box it came in.
