Esstac is one such company with shotgun ammo carriers:
I use Esstac brand, but there are others should anyone want to shop/compare; some as good, some worse, some different.(former) Glock and 1911 Armorer; LEO (now retired)Comment

I’m not sure if elastic or a hard material such as the Aridus Industries is the way to go. I’m open for suggestions!Comment

The really nice thing about the elastic/cloth ones are that they don’t add permanent width or weight to your SG, also the ability to tear off an empty and slap on a full one is just so darn handy. I know they have plastic ones that are removable now, but the cost difference makes it a no brainer in my opinion. Your spending three four times the money for an inferior piece of kit the way I see it.Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.Comment

My only concern with adhesive cards is the adhesive velcro strips and the suspect finish on the 1301. Maybe the OD green coating is deferent from the marin coating.Comment

The Velcro ones are the best choice. The plastic ones are virtually permanent When you run them dry you end up with something that takes longer to load than unload.
The Velcro Side Saddles simply get ripped off and a loaded one slapped on.
The Velcro Tape that is stuck the the receiver won't hurt the finish on your gun unless it is so weak it shouldn't be there in the first place. it is simply a tape that can be removed with alcohol.
You can see how the consensus here is to use the Velcro type Side Saddles.
They are also cheaper with the best ones being under $20

Bob: Thanks for the FC ammo! It will be put to good use !!!
I just got back from my Front Sight Shotgun class. There was only 9 people in the class. There was 3 1301's 2 M4's 2 M930's and Two pumps in the class and the instructor had a 1301 as well. One of the M930's cacked and the guy had to use his 590 to finish the class.
I saw all of the 1301 and M4 guys struggle with running their guns in the beginning due to the complexity of running them and figuring out the Shell Trip which if not used correctly stops you cold on some of the manipulations. However one of each were the two DG's in the class. Point being, these guns do require lots of practice to operate correctly but are solid Shotguns once you figure them out. Kind of like anything else?.
I got to fondle the instructors gun and it was light and pointed easily. I probably won't be getting one simply because I can beat them every time with my A5 which is much less complicated and faster to load and run. It does have more recoil than both the Italian guns but I have learned how to cope with that and not have any adverse effects.
You should really consider going to a Shotgun Class and getting drilled on running your guns. They are somewhat complicated guns to operate efficiently and you will really benefit from the training, and as a result enjoy shooting your guns a lot more. All of the peopel in my very small class came away shooting much better than before.
There was one guy who had a 1301 and was trying to shoot it left handed and he had not changed the safety over. He had nothing but problems and since he was right next to me on the line I saw him fumble with it for two days. He wanted to keep the gun in the stock configuration in case he wanted to sell it. We all told him it would take 5 minutes to change it back but he was set on his way of doing things. He didn't even graduate. I told him to sell the gun as we were loading our cars to go home.
Good to hear you got out of Bangkok safely.
