    870 barrel question

I have an 870 Express Magnum 12ga 28" and I want to go to 18" along the lines of their Express Synthetic 18"...so is this the right barrel?

In case you're wondering why, I've had my fill of shooting 12ga for trap and clays. So this gun will become a home defense shotgun and I'll pick up a 20ga for sporting use. Either another Express or a used Wingmaster.

Looks like the right barrel to me.
From Sacramento, Calif. My wife gave me six slots for weapons. As of 3/23/10, I'm thinking: CZ 75 BD in 9 mm, Glock 19, a FS2000, a Springfield M1A (Standard), Marlin 336 in .30-30, and a CZ 452 bolt-action .22-caliber rifle.

Yes that will fit. Midway's price is almost twice what you would pay for if ordered from Remington. (list at $96).

look for the parts list .pdf and it will be on page 30.

An 870 skeet barrel will suffice.

Sorry but that barrel is not 18" even though the parts list says it is and even the cubical clown you talk to will tell you it is but it will grow .5" in shipping and be an 18.5" barrel when it gets to you and the price is not $96 it is Part # 2460 and is $131 from Remington. It is cyl bore choke and bead sight and in a matte finish which is what your express has. Remington is not making any 18" barrels no matter what they tell when you call. I guess the cubical clowns who answer the phones did not get the memo.......You may expect a back order. I wait months for barrels even though I buy 40 or 50 each time I order and no it is not because I order so many as the orders are filled as they come in. I am an Authorized Remington parts dealer but get no preference of orders, just price. If you order one 5 minutes before I order 50, you get yours first.

If you're going to a gun fight, take a shotgun. If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.
