    ShotKam

Has anyone used a ShotKam to analyze their shotgun shooting?
Is it a gimmick or an actual tool?

I'd love to have one to see where I'm missing. Here's a good review.

I think it is a good tool. But you need to know what to look for.

Yes. It is also good when hunting.

People have told me, knowing why you're behind the target is more important than just knowing you're behind the target.

And sometimes you are behind because you miscalculated the lead.

Then you don't need the shot kam, just add more lead. I just saved you $700.

I've been told I'm behind the bird when in fact I was in front of it. I've also been told I was in front of the bird when I was behind it.
Squad mates aren't always right, but the camera never lies.
It's a tool, when properly used it can help.

Yet you will spend much more on lessons and will never get the picture like you do with a camera. You can have the best coach yet they could be wrong when they tell you where you were. That's the beauty about the camera. As ceh mentioned it never lies.

Good to hear. We are seasonal Sporting Clays shooters (busy college schedule) have taken lessons and will take more.

My wife as a Professor of Physics lives for data...collecting it, analyzing and acting on it. She saw a ShotKam video and was curious how we could incorporate it into personal lessons and range time.

If just knowing you're behind the target, or in front of the target was all it takes, everybody with a shot kam would be in master class.

Everybody I know that bought one, no longer uses it.

                        Here's a little trick I learned when I'm struggling with a target;

Shoot right at it, add a little lead, add a little more, add a little more...

                        ... until you hit it.

Actually, let me rephrase my thoughts. Shotgun shooting is a mind game. If you think something will help you, it probably will.

Agreed, but skeet is skeet is skeet is skeet, no mater where you shoot it in the USA. I'm a sporting clays shooter.
