What is the weapon going to be used for? That matters if you are asking about a certain model.

If you're going to a gun fight, take a shotgun. If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.

            +1 to Banshee
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

Some people like the Saiga 20, unfortunately I have never had the chance to fire one of those AK based shotguns.

Cost is relevent, what is expensive to me may not be to you. You did not say what the intended use of the weapon is. The one you get for sport shooting or hunting may not be the one you want for home defense. For Home defense the 870 ga HD with Knoxx SpecOps recoil reducing stock is hard to beat and is cost is an issue get one off the rack. The one I build is bead blasted, parkerized and upgrade with 870 Police parts ( and yes people the 870P parts fit the 20 as do other 12ga parts ). the one I build can be seen at www.aiptactical.com go to weapons then follow the drop down box to "20ga Tactical II "
