CZ Bobwhite G2

Looking at the CZ Bobwhite G2 in 20ga for some upland birds and occasional trap use. Upland shooting will be in Idaho.
Any of you shotgunners know much about these? Do like the looks of 'em.
Haven't handled one as of yet. Thanks.

Heard very mixed reviews. Lots of lemons but considering the amount sold it’s a toss up. Was also looking at one but figured not worth wasting the money when I know I should just save a while longer and get a browning citori.

Good luck finding a Browning Side by Side OO on the used market that is decent condition. And the Citori is stacked 8, so not directly comparable to the older Browning OO from the 1970s or the CZ Bobwhites from today.

While the Browning OO is nice, the machining technology of the 1970s is not what it is today, which means the CZ USA OO can be built with tighter specs using CNC technology, resulting in a nice gun at low price. Plus, CZ does not use the 12 gauge block for the 20 gauge, which means the CZ 20 ga has a true 20 ga cross section, thus reducing weight.

If looking at the CZ Bobwhite 00, make sure to get a G2 and not older stock. The G2 current production guns are nice and will out perform many guns at 2X or 3X the price of the CZ.

The CZ Bobwhite should do well on field birds and clays snd will deliver a nice traditional shoot for the hunter...without the worry of scratching up a collectable Browning OO or a Citori.

I haven’t shot the Bobwhite but own a CZ Teal in 20ga and it’s been a great gun. Locks up solid, decent trigger, decent walnut and came with a case and 5 chokes.
