RH shooter, this helped my left eye to calm down

I have rolled my left hand higher up(not forward) the forend so my pointer finger and thumb sit higher on the left and my three other fingers sit lower on the right. This is costing me some left side vision but I am consistently centering targets better this way! Gonna roll with it!

    Are you left eye dominant?

No, I can ace an eye dominance test but over the years, sometimes the left eye has been trying to take over when I shoot.

It’s called cross firing and it becomes prevalent as you get older especially, if you’re tired. Most competitors wear an occluder (dot in the middle of the lens of the non-dominate eye) for this reason as it’s prevents the weaker eye from taking over.

I tried this several years ago, it didn't help me at all.
This is what I do now, it has helped a great deal. I use frosted Scotch tape, just enough to block out the barrels...I'll keep rolling with it.

Righty who is cross dominant here. Got a nasty scratch in the middle of my left eyeglass lens, took a couple months to get new glasses. Played crazy havoc with eye dominance, started getting shifts on crossing targets coming from the right. I figure enough shooting will get it straightened out now that I have new glasses.

Here’s a great article that just came out about eye dominance:
