After an exhaustive search for rain totals on line, which ended up on my Cell Phones Weather App I found that we here in Ojai got 2.75" yesterday.

        Yeah!!! More to come tomorrow.

I live right next to the Ventura River which is normally dry 99% of the year.

It was running today but not that much. Now, the Santa Clara River which is the dividing line between Ventura and Oxnard was running great guns today when I drove across it on the 101. It has the entire Santa Clara Valley all the way to I 5 as a water shed.

We have been in a serious drought for the last few years and if it continues at this rate we might just catch up to where we need to be. I also live close to Lake Casitas and it is at about 30% of normal capacity. After the rain last year it got filled to @40% but continuous draining to support the "non existent" "Steelhead Fishery" keeps it drained down pretty close to the danger level. After all non existent fish are more important than people? right?

The Eco Nazi's originally led by Yvonne Chouinard of Patagonia got that river designated the second most Endangered Fishery in the US only behind the Chicago River which floods Lake Michigan with raw sewage every time it rains. They did this back in the 1980's so they could go Fly Fishing out the back door of the Patagonia Store in Ventura.

Now the river doesn't connect directly to the Ocean and there is a big estuary at the bottom next to the Beach in Ventura. it probably drained a bit today but no fish are coming back in to spawn because they don't get here until March or April. So much for the "Endangered Fishery."

Since the Ventura River is completely dry for 99.9% of the year the Steelhead have mutated into a Separate Species known as the "Terrestrial S Heads," (IE: "Land Fish" similar to the "Land Sharks" we all grew up with) that have 4 legs that are used to walk up from the Ocean to their spawning grounds in swimming pools in Downtown Ojai! I have seen this for myself!!! and it is true! These fish vote for Democrats because here in Idiot Land "Everything" can vote, and will receive a Mail in Ballot to make sure they do!!!

So that's where we are at 1:30PM on Christmas Eve! Merry Christmas.

Here you go Randy. You can check your rainfall amount every 15 minutes. Various sites across Ventura County and a lot of So Cal. Kinda of a cool site.

You can also look at Weather Underground
That's where I get my information, but then, my personal weather station is part of the underground

Rain stopped here in American Canyon in Napa, sky is clearing and the hills around me are verdant green. Its a welcome sight to behold.

What ever happened to "Looters will be Shot!"? Especially in KY!

Out here you'd probably go to jail, I'd expect it to be the other way around in KY?
