Fixing a damaged 870 tube mag

Wow, posts 11-13, have some good gloves to work with that forthcoming job (sounds like it'll be some hot work). What heating tools will work well to separate the mag tube from the receiver-section? (map gas?; more than a heat gun or propane torch?; oxy-acetylene for sure?)

Propane will be plenty hot enough for silver solder, as it has a low melting point. I'd put the tube in a padded vice with the magazine cap screwed on and snug up against the far end vise jaw end, heat it up slowly and start gently but firmly whacking the receiver bit with a mallet. Should pop right out.
