    Berreta 1301 Tactical light mount

Just wanted to share some pics. For me...this is the cleanest light setup for a 1301. Tucked up nice and tight, no need for a remote switch and more importantly..no magpul. Nordic tube and rail with a SureFire Mini Scout Light Pro. It's such a perfect fit. Also have the CROM and Holosun 507Cx2 freshly installed.

May the Bridges I burn light the way.

Life Is Not About Waiting For The Storm To Pass - Its About Learning To Dance In The Rain.

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

I just put a piece of Magpul polymer pic rail on the OeM clamp on my 1301 and attacked a weapons light to it that has an integrated Quick release clamp. About as simple as it gets. I’ll post a pic later when I get home from work.

Fail. It is too far away from your hand to comfortably activate it.

I would bet $1000 you have not run live fire drills with this setup at night.

You need to be able to turn the light on and off quickly, and for that Momentary Contact is the way to go.

The point is,,, You light the target, shoot, turn the light off before lowering the gun and tracing a line directly back to you . Not doing this,,, invites return fire.

                        This is what I do.

This is the simplest way to attach a light to your gun.
It also works on Carbines, and the Streamlight's are as good or better than anything else out there, and 1/3 as much as Surefire anything.

The Treadle Switch on the rear is Momentary Contact one way, and "on/off" the other. I have them on all my Carbines and Shotguns and Pistols. Plus that they are super easy to take off when you don't need it, like during the day?

I took a nighttime shotgun course last Saturday.

It's interesting to see so many fails (mine and others') when you're running drills vs shooting at the range. My setup worked (somewhat) since I was able to turn the light on and off without having to reach too far.

When you're constantly turning the light on and off and reloading, it can get cumbersome.

Too many rifles, not enough time...
