    Gun Fitter

A few months ago, I got a Beretta 686 Sporting 12 GA. I rented a Browning and a Beretta before buying the Beretta. When I got it, I knew the LOP was a little long. I bought the thinnest pad available from Beretta. Still a bit long.

I searched the archive here and the name Bob Day kept coming up. I called him and made an appointment to meet him last Saturday at LA Clays. I made the 4 hour drive and met Bob. He checked my stance and did a bunch of mounts. He confirmed the LOP was a little long. We shot some clays. Bob suggested cutting the stock and adding an adjustable butt plate with a Kick Eez pad. He said I didn't need an adjustable comb. I left it with him and drove home. He sent pics of the finished product on Monday. I got home this afternoon and the gun was here. It's perfect. If you are looking for someone to do this kind of work, Bob is your man.

Bob Day has been around for a long time and is very good at what he does.
